HbA1c reflects average blood sugar over roughly three months.

Our formula includes turmeric root extract. Within turmeric is a family of compounds called curcuminoids, including curcumin. Research on these compounds spans three areas of health:

• Blood sugar and insulin function. In a nine-month trial in adults with prediabetes, 1,500 mg of standardized curcuminoids daily improved blood-sugar measurements and measures of insulin function compared with placebo.

• Inflammation and antioxidant activity. In an eight-week trial in adults with metabolic syndrome, a daily combination of 1,000 mg curcuminoids and 10 mg piperine reduced C-reactive protein, a marker of inflammation, and improved certain measures of oxidative stress compared with placebo.

• Blood-vessel function. A 12-week trial in healthy middle-aged and older adults found improved function of the lining of blood vessels with a specially formulated curcumin supplement. Participants took 2,000 mg of the Longvida preparation daily, supplying approximately 400 mg of curcumin. The findings involved nitric oxide, which helps blood vessels widen, and reduced oxidative stress within the vessels.

Green tea contains plant compounds called catechins, including EGCG. These compounds have attracted research interest for their effects on glucose metabolism and the use of fat as fuel.

One small research paper reported two short-term experiments in healthy young men. The researchers used a catechin-rich extract supplying approximately 890 mg of polyphenols, including 366 mg of EGCG, during the 24 hours before testing:

• Insulin sensitivity: The glucose-testing experiment, involving 11 men, found an improvement in a measure of insulin sensitivity.
• Fat use during exercise: The cycling experiment, involving 12 men, found increased fat oxidation—the use of fat as fuel—during moderate exercise.

Black pepper contains piperine, a compound studied for its role in curcumin absorption.

In a human study, taking 20 mg of piperine with 2,000 mg of curcumin increased the amount of curcumin reaching the bloodstream compared with taking curcumin alone. This finding highlights piperine’s role in research on curcumin bioavailability—the amount that becomes available in the body after taking it.

Yes. In the three-month study involving 116 adults with type 2 diabetes and abnormal blood lipids, researchers also examined blood fats. Participants taking 1,000 mg of berberine daily had improvements in LDL cholesterol, total cholesterol and triglycerides compared with placebo.

Researchers have also investigated sublingual delivery—placing a preparation under the tongue—as a way to improve berberine absorption. In a 2024 study in rats, a specially engineered berberine–albumin nanoparticle preparation produced higher blood levels when given sublingually than by the oral route. This is an encouraging finding in research on berberine delivery.

Yes. GlucoZone contains caffeine from our green tea extract. Your recommended serving is 1 mL once daily. The caffeine amount per serving has not yet been confirmed. If you need to limit or avoid caffeine, check with your healthcare professional before considering GlucoZone.

Yes. Our liquid formula contains ethyl alcohol. Your entire recommended daily serving is just 1 mL, and alcohol makes up only part of that serving.

We use strawberry flavoring in GlucoZone. Take your measured serving directly from the dropper as directed.

Some users report noticing improvements in as little as one week, while others report improvements after one or two months. Results vary from person to person.
